Hi everyone, its Ainsley from Bliss beauty & nail bar.
I really hope you're all keeping safe and well, we can't believe it has been nearly 10 weeks since we last saw you!
I just wanted to keep you up to update you on things behind the scenes. Stacey and I have been working really hard to get a plan in place for re-opening.
Not a minute has been wasted during this process in ensuring we are as knowledgable and prepared as we possibly can be. Obviously at this stage we are unsure of exactly when it will be, we feel relatively comfortable in saying we expect this to be at some point during July, however we are consciously aware that this could change depending on the 'R' rate.
So, what have we been up to? 😃
1.We have undertaken and completed 2 separate Hygiene Standards courses, designed specifically for our industry and to aid us in familiarising ourselves with new practices as a result of COVID-19. As well as this, I have completed a further course which involved designing risk assessments for our salon which are then approved and signed off by an independent body.
2. Deciding upon and ordering all types of PPE and extra salon hygiene solutions / equipment. Hygiene and cleanliness have always played a huge part in our ethos, but even more so now than ever. We want you all to know our salon will be a safe place to be for you and us and we have all of the necessary PPE and equipment ready and waiting in order for us to be able to carry out the treatments you know and love, in a new way.
3. Training and research has been a huge focus! Thanks to the wonder of technology, we have managed to keep connected with each other and we have placed a huge focus on the development of our skills. We are absolutely positive you're going to love the new techniques, we've been working on and we are just so excited to be able to showcase these!
4. Assessing our current salon configuration to ensure we can apply the proper Social Distancing. Next time you see us, things will look different, but everything has been designed with optimum health and safety in mind. We don't tend to do things by halve, and the safety measures we have in place can be added to that list! We promise wherever you turn you will find hand sanitizer, surface sprays, barbicide, and anything else we can get our hands on!
5. We've also taken the opportunity to give our well used (or well loved should we say) salon some TLC! The salon has been painted, thoroughly cleaned, new chairs, a new nailbar top, and the place is looking and feeling brand new and sparkly clean. We also have a new gel extension system as well as multiple new gel colours.
We will keep you all posted as things move along, and as soon as we have a date, you'll be the first to know! We will be sending Emails, Texts, Pigeons (ok maybe not Pigeons but if we need to, we will) to inform you of our opening date and diary opening. We will also be making our detailed and thorough Coronavirus (Covid-19) Infection Prevention & Control Policy available so you know what to expect from us, and what we will be expecting from our clients :-)
Thanks so much for reading, as always, any questions at all, send them over. I'd love to hear from you.
Lots of Love Ainsley & Stacey xox
